OCR Races
Obstacle Course Racing - running with obstacles, mud, and occasional existential crisis. Here you'll find my experiences, tips, and race calendar.
What is OCR?
OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) is a race where you run and overcome various obstacles - climbing walls, crawling through mud, carrying heavy stuff, hanging on obstacles... Basically everything that forces you to use your whole body, not just your legs.
Why do I do it?
Because after years of sitting at a computer, I needed something that:
- Uses all muscles at once
- Isn't boring like the gym
- Forces me out of my comfort zone
And it works. My back stopped complaining and I finally have a reason to leave the house on weekends.
Spartan Ultra Morzine 2024

Spartan Ultra Morzine: 50 km of alpine terror, 60 obstacles, and a 6-meter waterfall just for kicks. But here's what's crazy? The last kilometer runs through a street packed with restaurants and bars with outdoor terraces. All the guests saw you and started cheering. I was already dead, but that applause gave me more energy than espresso - suddenly I got a burst of juice and finished like a superhero.
